Explore the world’s biggest meteorite impact area through a network of hiking trails in pristine landscapes with outstanding views of the hills and the Vaal River
It is believed that the meteorite impact that shaped this area created a crater with a diameter of 300 kilometers. The impact occurred some two billion years ago when the only living organisms on earth were algae.
This is a steep hike, but the views of the Vaal River from the top are excellent. After several viewing points, the trail loops back to the Baskop House Hiking Trail.
