The trail is deep in the reserve away from highways and urban development on a refreshingly quiet stretch of land.

In addition to wildlife, over 250 species of birds have been spotted in the reserve. A bird watching shelter (bird hide) is located near the lake.

Although this is not an “official” trail, it is by far our favorite as you walk on parts of the 6 and 10 KM Nature Walk Trails, showing the best the farm has to offer including meadows, dense bushland, ruins and an interesting hill with a great viewpoint.
