Walk in a small urban bird sanctuary with its wooden deck for bird viewing, dense bush vegetation, abundance of birds and interesting wildlife
The sanctuary is home to an interpretive trail with a wooden deck for bird viewing that is hidden in the canopy of white stinkwood trees.
From the parking lot, the unmarked trail leads through dense bush to open grass areas where you may see a small group of resident blesboks.
The reserve is a great destination for bird enthusiasts with large numbers of birds, which may include Helmeted Guinea-fowl, Cape Robin – Chat, African Hoepoe and Black-shouldered Kite. Visiting the nature area can easily result in spotting some 40 bird species an hour during summer.
