Enjoy stunning views of the Hartbeespoort Dam (lake) and the Magaliesberg Mountain Range on hilly trails followed by German-Swiss sausages and draft Weiss beer 

This is one of those finds that make hiking in the Hartbeespoort area special. Located on the southern bank of the dam and just within the Cradle of Humankind, this is a culinary destination known in Hartbeespoort for its German-Swiss cuisine.

The trail leads to the top of the hill for great views of the nearby Hartbeespoort Dam (lake). Although generally not steep, walking to the top is harder than you would expect. As there are no trail signs, it is best to follow the trail uphill and turn left uphill whenever such opportunity presents itself.
