Walk on top of the Magaliesberg Mountain Range with spectacular views of the valley on the grounds of a historic farm
Situated on the slopes of the Magaliesberg, the farm dates to the 1930s when its main source of income was cattle and tobacco. The centerpiece of the farm is the old house that was completed in 1933. The farm is home to several day trails and two overnight trails.
The strenuous Karee Day Trail, with its elevation differences and steep paths is hard work, even for the most experienced hikers. We were pretty much toast after we completed the nearly 13 kilometers in just over 7 hours with plenty of rest breaks.
